September 7, 1938: “Ed Long and his son-in-law, Otis Sweeney, drove to Willets Thursday evening for an X-ray of Mr. Long’s arm. While doing some painting at the Poison Rock Lookout Station a heavy shutter fell and possibly fractured the bone above the wrist in Mr. Long’s arm.” (Ukiah Republican Press)
